Revelation: Cassandra’s Search for Proof of the Biogenetic Theory in the Human Genome

I’ve been asked to comment on the rationale behind Cassandra’s seeking proof  for the maxim, “Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny”, in her DNA sampling.  The simplest way to express it is in terms of Aristotelian logic:
  1. The biogenetic theory holds that our embryological development is a restatement of that of our evolutionary precursors
  2. If we are to exhibit the morphologies of our forebears, we must be coded to do so;
  3. Cassandra’s unique methodology enables her to elucidate genetic sequences very rapidly, and to a high degree of accuracy;
  4. As Cassandra samples the genomic patterns of our evolutionary precursors, her analytic system ought to be able to identify correlative patterns within the genetic complement of higher life forms, culminating, presumably, in man.
More tomorrow. - MP
